Cooperation between Tatarstan and Kostanay Region of the Republic of Kazakhstan discussed in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan

A meeting with the delegation from Kostanay Region of the Republic of Kazakhstan headed by Deputy Akim Meirzham Myrzaliev took place in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan today. The following officials participated in it: Deputy Ministers of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nikolai Titov, Rishat Khabipov, Deputy Director General on development of the Chief Directorate “RATSIN” Anvar Mavlanov, CEO of Tatarstan Alliance of Consumers Cooperative Societies Makhmut Fattakhov, Head of the Chief State Agricultural directorate for Pedigree Cattle Breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Rishat Zaripov, etc.

First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nikolai Titov greeted the guests of the meeting. After that, the latter could watch a film about the development of Tatarstan agriculture.

Meirzhan Myrzaliev thanked Tatarstan party for hospitality and spoke about Kostanay Region. According to his words, the region is situated in the north of the republic of Kazakhstan and borders with 3 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Its population is about 900,000 people. “The region is agrarian and industrial. Every year we saw 4.7 million ha of fields with agricultural crops, where 4 million ha are occupied with grains and the rest lands are sown with oil crops. We are intensifying agricultural production, expanding lands for oil crops and developing a cluster for their processing. This year he have harvested 5.5 million tons of grain, which is 22% of the gross yield in Kazakhstan”, - he reported.

Deputy Akim of Kostanay Region said that the equipment capability of agricultural enterprises is weak in the region. It is planned to build a modern agro-industrial park in the nearest future.

Nikolai Titov spoke about some of Tatarstan projects which is going to be implemented soon, namely, creation of geo-information system of AIC in the Republic of Tatarstan, attraction of investments into agriculture, etc.

During the meeting, the prospects of further mutual cooperation, experience exchange in the sphere of agricultural machine building and introduction of modern IT technologies were discussed.

The delegation of Kostanay Region arrived to Kazan on Thursday, on October 18. The guests held a number of meetings, visited “Alabuga” economic zone and “Khimgrad” technopolis. Today the delegates are going to visit OAO “Agro-Industrial Park “Kazan”.
