3.5 million tons of grain milled in Tatarstan

As of August 31, 2017, 3,522,000 tons of grain have been milled in the republic at the average crop yield of 35.6 dt/ha. 990,500 ha with grains and pulses have been thrashed (67% of the plan).

The biggest grain yield is in Zainsk municipal district - 139,900 tons, the average crop yield is 49.6 dt/ha there. In Sarmanovo municipal district 138,100 tons of grain have been milled (the average crop yield is 49.1 dt/ha), in Buinsk – 133,500 tons of grain (37.5 dt/ha), Aktanysh – 130,100 tons (41.1 dt/ha), Chistopol – 124,800 tons (33.4 dt/ha), Tetyushi – 121,600 tons (43 dt/ha).

73% of fields with agricultural crops have been cleared in Chistopol (78%), Alkeevo (76%), Nurlat (75%), Zainsk, Alekseevskoe, Lelinogorsk, Laishevo (74% in each), Apastovo, Aksubaevo and Bavly (73% in each) municipal districts.

Alongside harvesting, sowing of winter crops keeps going on in municipal districts of the republic. 284,500 ha of fields have been sown with winter crops already, where 111,000 ha have been sown with winter rye and 165,600 ha – with winter wheat.
