Tatarstan Gross Agricultural Production is 150.1 billion rubles for 9 months of 2014

Gross agricultural production of the Republic of Tatarstan has amounted 150.1 billion rubles for 9 months of 2014, where crop farming is 61.5 billion rubles and animal farming is 88.6 billion rubles.

In comparison with the same period of 2013, there is an increase of 105.2%. It was reported by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov at the republican session in the Tatarstan Government House today.

The videoconferencing session with all the municipal districts was held by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov also took part in it.

According to the recent data by November 1 2014, there are 15.9 thousand ha with corn, 33.3 thousand ha with sunflower and 1.6 thousand ha with beetroot left for harvesting in the republic. The Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic also spoke about autumn agricultural fairs and participation of municipal districts in them. He enumerated the most active municipal districts.

According to the words of Marat Akhmetov about 18,000 people visit the agro-industrial complex in Kazan a day during agricultural fairs. He noted that agricultural products are in high demand among city population. Average prices for basic agricultural products are lower at the fairs than in different Kazan retail chains.
