Plant protection measures are being actively conducted on the fields of Tatarstan

The regular meeting for monitoring the situation with socially significant agricultural products and food was held at the Ministry of Agriculture. The event, chaired by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture Dzhambulat Khatuov, was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov.

The meeting participants discussed the current situation at the food market, issues of providing the population with food and keeping a stable price level for the main product groups. According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan, there are currently no disruptions in the supply of products and significant price fluctuations.

Particular attention during the event was paid to the spring field work. Currently, 72 subjects have already started the sowing, sowing has been carried out on an area of ​​41.4 million hectares, or almost 80% of the forecasted area.

So, in Tatarstan, sowing of spring crops is almost complete. It remains to sow heat-loving crops on an area of ​​less than 8 thousand hectares, which is less than 1%. The area under crops is 2.8 million ha. The weather is favorable. In May, more than 30 mm of precipitation fell. Currently, they protect plants.

The First Deputy Minister drew special attention to the need to carry out all agricultural activities in the optimal time, as well as to the timely implementation of a set of measures to protect crops from pests and diseases.

The situation in the southern regions of the country where drought was observed was considered separately. The heads of the regional agro-industrial complex authorities of Krasnodar, Stavropol Territory and Rostov Region stated that the precipitation since the beginning of May made it possible to improve the condition of winter and spring crops. However, the final crop forecast can be made in 2-3 weeks.
