27 March 2020, Friday

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, agreed with the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, decided to cancel agricultural fairs on Saturday, March 28.

“The decision was made to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. Agricultural fairs are in high demand precisely among older citizens who are most at risk of disease. Yes, fairs are always held in the fresh air, and the possibility of spreading the virus is minimal, but we cannot allow the holding of events that pose any risk to the health of citizens. In addition, the Kazan fair held on March 21 showed that there was no excessive demand. There are enough agricultural products in the republic. The fairs will continue work as soon as possible”, commented the decision of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov.

Tatarstan residents are recommended to stay at home and follow the measures to protect themselves and their families.
