Tatarstan takes the first place among the subjects of the Russian Federation in milk and produces 6% of the total volume in Russia

This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov on February 12 during a meeting of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.

According to the results of 2019, milk production in all categories of farms amounted to 1 million 893 thousand tons, including in agricultural enterprises -1 million 350 thousand tons, with a productivity of 5842 kg per cow.

The largest volumes of milk are in Kukmorsky - 100 thousand tons, Baltasinsky - 88 thousand tons and Atninsky areas - 81 thousand tons. They produce almost 20% of the republic’s milk, while having 14% of dairy cows of the entire population.

On January 30, 2020, for the first time in the history of the republic, workers of the Kukmorsky district achieved 300 tons of daily milk yield. This is the highest result among all the municipal regions of the country and they are not going to stop there.

The next bar for the order is already 400 tons per day.

“We do not stand still. In the work of more than 40 investment projects for 35.5 thousand cows, this is an additional 150 thousand tons of milk per year.

And the reserves are large. In terms of milk production among the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, we take first place in all categories of farms, having more than 6% of the total volume, ”said the Deputy Prime Minister.

Almost 517 thousand tons of livestock and poultry were slaughtered for live weight - 8th place in the Russian Federation. Here, the main share is poultry farmers. Poultry production is represented mainly by large complexes: Chelny Broiler and Ak Bars Holding. They produce 90% of the republic and the dynamics are good. Farmers also actively develop poultry farming.

Pig production is concentrated in 5 large enterprises: Kama Bacon, Vanguard, TatMitAgro, Phoenix and A / F Yalta, where they produce almost 86 thousand tons of pork (93% of republic’s volume).

A breeding base for sheep breeding has also been preserved in the Republic — 3,500 ewes. Last year, construction began on two sheep-breeding complexes - for 500 sheep in the farm Zaikin from Almetyevsk and for 2100 animals in the farm Falaleeva from Elabuga.

There is a success in horse breeding. On February 6, 2019, a patent for Tatarskaya breed was registered as protected breeding achievement. For the further development of the breed, agricultural enterprises provide subsidies for the purchase of breeding stock in the amount of 5 million rubles.
