Today, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan organized a press tour for the media to the Museum of the History of Agriculture in the Palace of Farmers.

The museum was created in 2015, but for the first time opened its doors to journalists. An informative tour was conducted by the director of the museum Nail Sabirov.

The guests could see what the Act on the eternal use of land by collective farms looks like, the Decree on livestock breeding of 1918, the ancient agricultural equipment found on the territory of the republic and the first milking machines developed in 1936.

For example, the museum presents plow - arable tools with a wide work part of wood, which was the main tillage tool until the 1930s. You can also see in detail the one-horse equestrian plow of Eckert of the beginning of the 20th century. In the Kazan province at that time there were over 35 thousand of such iron plows. It is noteworthy that the first all-steel plow was made by the American blacksmith John Deere in 1833. So named machinery is still in demand among agricultural producers.

Nail Sabirov said that the importance of veterinary medicine was noted during the time of Peter I. In the museum you can find an extract from the decree of the emperor in 1707, which says: ... if anyone continues to repair what a hindrance to the veterinary case, hang him without considering the person!

“The Historical Museum of agriculture of Tatarstan is the most unexpected and sincere museum, which we were lucky to visit,” the journalists noted.
