Weekday of farmers: In the "Vegetable Valley" the first crop of currants will be gathered by a specialized combine

In the Almetyevsk region, work is actively underway on a large-scale project “Vegetable Valley”. In the cooperative "Village" in the current year there are 16 residents engaged in growing vegetables and berries. The sown area was more than 110 hectares.

Huge areas of the vegetable valley are filled with beetroot, carrots, Peking, color, white cabbage, broccoli, raspberries, currants, strawberries, blackberries.

For storage of vegetable crops in 2018, a fruit storage facility for 3000 tons was used. This month it is expected to supply equipment for the filling and packaging lines from St. Petersburg.

Also in the area LLC "Berry Valley" carries out its activities, last year they sold the grown products for more than 9 million rubles.

In the second half of July, the first harvest of black currant will begin. For mechanized harvesting of berry crops, a specialized combine is expected to be delivered from Poland. More than 1 million strawberry, raspberry and currant seedlings were grown on the Berry Valley areas for sale to agricultural producers of Tatarstan and Russia.

Peasant farms for the production of berry crops successfully operate in the region. KFH Harrasov Ilnaz and Azizov Renat in 2018 won a grant of 1.5 million rubles by the “Novice Farmer” program, having invested these funds in the development of their farms, purchasing the necessary equipment.

Also KFH Khaidarov Ilgiz, Gorokhov Alexander from 2016 are engaged in the cultivation and sale of strawberries.

All grown organic products are sold not only in the outlets of the Almetyevsk region and Tatarstan, but also out of the republic.
