The main guests of Sabantuy in Kazan were the working people

23 of June in Kazan was the national Tatar holiday Sabantuy. The main venue of the celebration was the Birch Grove of the village of Mirny, where 11 municipal districts of Tatarstan opened their farmsteads. Each district tried to surprise the guests with its plow by its uniqueness and originality. Thus, the Tyulyachinsky district of Tatarstan brought a horse of the Tatar breed, which is the national pride of all Tatar people.

President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, State Counselor of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev, Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov and other officials became guests of honor of the holiday.

The opening of the holiday began with honoring the labor people - the workers of the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan. Timofeev and Sattarov, the representatives of labor dynasties from the  Agryz district and from the Baltasinsky district, with 4 generations of their family associated with agriculture and working on the land, proudly stepped onto the stage.

Next came the veterans of the agro-industrial complex. Rosa Gafiyatullina from the Leninogorsk region devoted 54 years to agriculture, having worked most of her life as a milkmaid. Ivan Afanasyev worked for 42 years in the agricultural enterprise "Rodina" of Tetyushsky district. Vladimir Yashanin, whose work experience is 55 years, still works in his own farm. Hatip Sibgatullin worked as a tractor driver for 55 years. Venera Faskhutdinova's work experience is 44 years. Today, being retired, she does what she likes - she works as a milkmaid.

After them, mechanics, livestock breeders, farmers, specialists and managers of the best agricultural enterprises were invited to the scene. All of them became the main guests of the plow holiday.

Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that Sabantuy is a celebration of farmers and grain-growers. “Their work is the basis of well-being and prosperity of our republic. This holiday is very important for us. It reflects the culture of people of Russia, the preservation and development of which is shown by our national leader, President Vladimir Putin ''.

Then the President of the Republic of Tatarstan read out Vladimir Putin’s greetings to the participants of the holiday. The event continued with a bright concert program and exciting competitions.
