Within two days, the guys will be offered the team situational tasks and they will be able to independently assemble their own agricopters, robots and meteorological devices.

“Kazan State Agrarian University was chosen as one of the 9 sites in Russia for holding regional and in-absentia regional stages. At the correspondence stage, more than 3000 applications were submitted, 200 of which passed to the internal stage. The purpose of the Competition is to familiarize and involve students of educational institutions located in rural areas in the work on the technological priorities of the National Technology Initiative (NTI), including the use of digital technologies in agriculture, the tasks of the robotization of the agro-industrial complex, the use of UAVs in agriculture. The competition is aimed at realizing the creative potential of students, as well as their early professional orientation”, said the rector of the Agrarian University Ayrat Valiev, opening the event.

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Talgat Tagirzyanov also took part in the opening ceremony. He wished the participants success and creative self-realization. “The competition is aimed at developing students' creativity and interest in specialties of agricultural sciences. Agriculture today is not only a priority sector of the Russian economy, ensuring the country's food security, but also a high-tech industry. In the cattle-breeding complexes of the republic there are milking robots, there is unmanned agricultural machinery on the fields. Twenty years ago it was even hard to believe in all this. And the agrarian sector needs qualified personnel capable to move forward the industry”, said Talgat Tagirzyanov.
