In Tatarstan, all the districts began sowing spring crops, 710 thousand hectares sown, 485 thousand hectares of which are spring grain crops

4 May 2019, Saturday

In the Republic of Tatarstan, all the districts began sowing spring crops. It was announced today at a meeting in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov.

The meeting was held in the form of videoconferencing with all municipal districts by Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin.

Today, 710 thousand hectares are sown in the republic, 485 thousand hectares (50%) of which are spring grains. “The current weather is favorable for planting and with proper organization of work in the coming days we plan to achieve maximum productivity - 120 thousand hectares. This is a very real task, ”Marat Akhmetov said.

Speaking about winter crops to be re-planted, the minister said that their condition was not improving. “The hydrometeorological center confirmed the occurrence of a dangerous phenomenon for winter crops. In the republic, by order (RP - №170) of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the state of emergency was introduced on May 2, said Marat Akhmetov. “In connection with this, municipal districts need to develop measures for overcoming the consequences of emergency situations within five days”.

In more details, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan spoke about small forms of rural management.

According to him, small forms of management are more than 450 thousand personal, more than 4 thousand farms and 260 agricultural consumer cooperatives.

In March, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan jointly with the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Council of Municipalities held a field discussion on the development of private farmsteads with heads of settlements. There are concerns about the difficulties of selling surplus products, low purchase prices, and the aging of rural residents. At the same time, the majority of the heads of the settlements also see real opportunities for increasing the production of agricultural products while creating the appropriate conditions.

Marat Akhmetov cited data on the work results for the 1st quarter of the current year.

Households reduced milk production by 1 thousand tons, meat production - by 500 tons. At the same time, farms more than compensated for these losses - they increased the volume of milk by 2.3 thousand tons, meat - 1.5 thousand tons.

In addition, in a number of areas, the number of cows continues to decline. Only in the first 3 monthsSpassky, Rybno-Slobodsky and Kama-Ustyinsky districts lost more than 10% .

According to Marat Akhmetov, the state has the right to rely on the result, since significant amounts are allocated from the budget for support.

So, from this year, according to numerous requests from the population, subsidies for the preservation of dairy herds have been combined with veterinary services. At the same time, subsidies for the construction of mini-farms have been increased to owners of private homes, taking into account increased costs.

Also, subsidies for the purchase of heifers were doubled.

Unfortunately, some farms consider the purchase of livestock not for the further increase of livestock, but as a source of short-term profit, said Marat Akhmetov.

But at the same time, state support measures contribute to the active development of farms in the republic: they provide the greatest increase, and this is largely due to the dynamic development of animal husbandry. In Q1, the livestock and poultry population increased by 10%, cash revenue increased by 25%, and the number of jobs created is 250.

A good load with livestock is from farms that received support in Chistopolsky, Tukayevsky, Spassky, Zainsky, Laishevsky districts.

“We have compiled a rating of the effectiveness of grant support, including the directions of crop production for novice farmers,” the minister said. - The return on cash proceeds from public funds in some areas is of great concern. I ask you to focus the attention on areas where the return of funds for a ruble of support is less than a ruble. This year, competitions for grant programs have also been announced. Limits increased to 950 million rubles for 4 types of grants.
