Tatarstan provides substantial support to agricultural producers cultivating flaxseed

On March 26, a videoconference meeting was held on the development of the flax industry in the Russian Federation, chaired by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Dzhambulat Khatuov.

The meeting was attended by Ildus Gabdrakhmanov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Irek Sadykov, Head of Agriculture Sector Development Department, Rasil Gabdrakhmanov, Director of OOO Len Rinat Mustafin, head of Mustafin RS Farm.

Roman Nekrasov, Director of the Department of Crop Production, Chemicalization and Plant Protection of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, reported on the state and prospects for the development of the flax industry in the Russian Federation. At the end of 2018, the area under flax was 44.7 thousand hectares, the gross yield in terms of flax fiber was 36.7 thousand tons. Before the flax-growing farms, the task was set to increase the number of sowing areas of long-flax by 2025 to 80 thousand hectares, the output of flax-fiber to 120 thousand tons. The director of the department noted that the Republic of Tatarstan provides substantial financial assistance to agricultural producers, cultivating flaxseed, in the framework of unrelated support.

On the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan, 2 enterprises are engaged in the cultivation of fiber flax - LLC Sabylen of the Sabinsky municipal district and KFH Mustafin R.S. Mamadyshsky municipal district, there is 1 flax plant with a processing capacity of 1.5 thousand tons of raw materials. According to the results of 2018, in the republic, flaxseed was cultivated on an area of 1.12 thousand hectares, the gross harvest of flax fiber was 1.6 thousand tons, and the yield was 14.3 centners / ha.
