The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan pays great attention to the development of small and medium-sized businesses in the countryside. Today, in every district there are people who have opened their own business and successfully developed it. One of these rural enterprises is located in the village of Vyazovka, Bugulminsky District, where Gulnaz Nuzhdina is the head of a peasant farm.

She is an economist by education, but agriculture knows very well. Many years her father headed the Bugulma branch of the Food Corporation (now LLC Naratly) and gave her his experience in the livestock sector.

“I decided to engage in rural business two years ago. 95 breeding heifers were purchased with partial state subsidies. They were brought from three farms of Udmurtia. At first it was hard. But thanks to the support and advices of specialists, I got the necessary knowledge in the livestock industry and I already feel “at ease”. And today already 73 cows brought offspring, ”says Gulnaz Nuzhdina,“ calves are kept in warm rooms under the scrutiny of experienced breeders. Cows are milked three times a day, while the average daily milk yield is 18-19 liters from each cow. Potentially, these cows can produce up to 25 kilograms of valuable products. Milk of the highest grade - 4.2% of fat we pass on to processing enterprises in Aznakaevo at a favorable price. Milk production is troublesome, but with good cattle maintenance it is profitable. This is daily cash money for the salaries of livestock breeders, the development of the material and technical base of the peasant farm and other expenses. ”

At the farm there is a small machine and tractor fleet for processing fields and forage: two MTZ-82 tractors, a DT-75 self-propelled unit, a powerful K-701, mowers, a baler and other machinery. At the disposal of the farm there are 200 hectares of fertile soil, but it is necessary to have another 500-600 hectares for sowing perennial grasses and grain crops for animal feed. According to Gulnaz, these tasks are completely solvable, the main thing is not to stand still, to keep up with the times, then there will be a positive result.

Today there are several livestock breeders. In addition to the dairymaids there are cattlemen, a veterinarian and a calf. All of them are professionals with rich work experience. Some have higher education, as, for example, a young specialist Olga Artemyeva. She graduated from the Samara State Agricultural Academy and works on a farm in different directions - keeps records of livestock numbers, helps the seedman and veterinarian. Machine milking operator Tatyana Zuykova has almost 20 years of experience in animal husbandry. “I have never seen such good conditions for working on a farm. There is room for having meal and rest, there is always hot water. The schedule of the week is designed taking into account the possibility of rest on weekends and holidays", Tatyana Zuykova shares her impressions.

The head of the Farm is not going to stop there, and in the near future intends to increase the number of dairy herds to 250 heads. Gulnaz this year plans to apply for a grant under the Family Farm program and, in case of success, will purchase another 100 breeding heifers. And for the constant sale of its products on the market, she wants to have 150 heads of meat direction cattle of Hereford or Simmental breed.

“If everything goes well, it is possible that in the future we will build a small factory for processing meat and dairy products and a slaughterhouse, and again it will create new jobs for the local population,” says Gulnaz Nuzhdina.
