An extended board and presidium meeting of Tatarstan Association of Farmers, Farmsteads and Agricultural Consumers’ Cooperative Societies took place in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, today. The following officials participated in it: Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov, Deputy Ministers Nikolai Titov and Talgat Tagirzyanov, specialists of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of TatarstanKamiyar Baitemirov, heads of peasant farm enterprises, chairmen of agricultural consumers’ cooperative societies of the republic.
The session was opened by Kamiyar Baitemirov. He informed the participants about the business program of the XXIXth Symposium of Russia’s Association of Farmers, Farmsteads and Agricultural Cooperatives, which takes place in Moscow on February 19-20. According to his words, within the framework of the symposium it is planned to discuss the problems of arable farming development, development of rural territories, the ways to increase efficiency of agricultural production and handling of public funds.
Kamiyar Baitemirov also spoke about peculiarities of the program on concessional lending for AIC enterprises in 2018.
Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov spoke about distribution of grain, cost prices for milk and preparation for the forthcoming sowing campaign. “Unfortunately, attractive prices for grain are not set yet, - stated the minister. – However, we will be searching for the ways to solve the problem”.
Marat Akhmetov said that the government was solving the problem of support of agricultural producers, who manufacture and distribute milk. “The owners of personal subsidiary plots will be given a lump sum subsidy”, - he reminded.
The minister emphasized that according to the forecasts the gross grain yield was expected to be on the same level in Russia, as it had been last year. “It is necessary to decrease the cost of grain, carry out the sowing campaign properly and cost effectively”, - noted Marat Akhmetov.
After that, the minister answered numerous questions of farmers and chairs of cooperative societies, namely, concerning implementation of branch-wise state programs, purchasing of agricultural machinery, equipment, etc.
