Cattle breeding records for 9 months discussed in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan

A session devoted to the records in cattle breeding for 9 months of 2017 took place in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of eth Republic of Tatarstan, today. It was held by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nazip Khazipov.

Specialists of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, “Chief State Agricultural Directorate for Pedigree Cattle Breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan”, consultants on cattle breeding and chiefs of selective-brood services of local agricultural directorates participated in the session.

Nazip Khazipov reported on the records in cattle breeding and the tasks for the forthcoming period. “In the future the records will be presented as a rating including the activity indices of investment projects”, - announced Deputy Minister.

According to his words, as of October 1, 2017, the livestock population in Tatarstan agricultural enterprises had made up 736,500 animals, including 244,400 cows, 973,700 tons of milk had been received (105% compared with the previous year level), 248,000 tons of poultry and meat had been produced (102%).

The livestock population has increased compared with the previous year level in Zainsk, Sarmanovo, Novosheshminsk, Baltasi, Kukmor, Saby and some other municipal districts of the republic. The biggest gain in milk production is in Zainsk, Atnya, Alkeevo, Kukmor, Rybnaya Sloboda and Tyulyachi municipal districts. “Milk production has decreased in Kamskoe Ustye, Arsk, Tukaevo, Apastovo and Buinsk municipal district”, - added Nazip Khazipov.

Deputy Minister said, that as of October 6, 2017, the average cost price for milk in Tatarstan was 23.61 rubles per kilo. Tatarstan takes the 3rd place in Volga Federal District on this figure.

Nazip Khazipov spoke in detail about the organization of agricultural fairs. He applied to agricultural producers to pay special attention to the quality of goods.

In conclusion, Deputy Minister informed the participants of the meeting about the forthcoming regional sessions in Kazan, Zainsk and Nurlat in the 3rd decade of October, 2017. They will be devoted to the issues of feeding and keeping of livestock, increasing of milking herd productivity, etc.

After that, the head of “Chief State Agricultural Directorate for Pedigree Cattle Breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan” Rishat Zaripov gave a speech on the records of pedigree animal breeding.
